

VFX ARTIST & PROGRAMMER
As you can see in the video on the left, I created all the game's juice. I added various effects to improve the readability of each action and make the game more enjoyable to play.
The spacecraft leaves a trail of fire as it moves, and shots have effects such as muzzle flash, squatch & stretch, and residual particles. I also created a script so that the spaceship only fires in rhythm (every half beat). I created the projectiles using a 2D sprite and a custom trail.
I wanted the asteroids to scale to the beat, so I used the same script as for the spaceship's squatch & stretch effect and adapted it to fit the beat. I added green lightning particle effects to make the asteroids more dynamic and another lightning effect when an asteroid is destroyed in the form of a residual particle.
For the menus, I added a background video and created simple user interface buttons and the logo to counterbalance the weight of the video.
Note: With the exception of the UI I created, all of the game's assets were found on the Internet.
MUSIC & SOUND DESIGNER
For this game, I decided to create space music, characterized by reverberations, silences, and synths. I wanted the music to be powerful and dynamic in order to emphasize the impact of the shots on the rhythm and give the player the feeling of being powerful with their planet-destroying spaceship.
